Best Barber is a queer-owned, gender-neutral grooming salon designed for everyone. It is located on 10th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, NYC, and has proudly served our community for over a decade. We seek enthusiastic, talented professionals eager to join our outstanding team.

Prime weekend shifts are available in a high-demand shop with a clean, LGBTQ+-friendly, supportive environment. We offer a guaranteed minimum wage, tiered compensation, professional development, and opportunities for growth.

Applicants must have a current New York Barber or Cosmetologist license, a minimum of four years of in-shop experience, be able to perform a practiced method, and consistently exhibit absolute professionalism while maintaining a relaxed and positive energy. Most importantly, they must possess a genuine desire to excel.

LOCATION: 694 10th Avenue, NYC

TYPE: Full-time (4 days per week)

SCHEDULE: Friday through Monday (Saturdays and Sundays are required)

COMPENSATION: W-2 Employees receive a commission, plus tips. Paid biweekly by direct deposit.

STARTING PAY: The starting base haircut price ranges from $50 to $60, depending on experience. The commission is equivalent to $15 to $60 per hour, plus tips.
