Founded in 2015 by grooming expert Boswell Scot, Best Barber was built to blend barbershop tradition with the education and client focus of salons—without the hyper-gendered norms of either.

We've been one of NYC's pioneering LGBTQ+-owned grooming spaces since day one, intentionally designed to feel welcoming to everyone regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, style, or hair texture. We are hair for you.

Our handpicked barbers bring a wide range of skills to meet every grooming need: from monthly upkeep to complete transformations, all tailored to you. We also curate premium hair, skin, and body care products to keep your look fresh between visits.

Over eleven years serving Midtown Manhattan, we've cultivated a clientele as diverse as our city and proudly serve Hell's Kitchen and beyond.

Because feeling well is part of looking good, we hold the highest cleanliness standards and comply with all NYC sanitation regulations. Our Shopkeepers clean throughout the day; barbers sanitize tools and chairs after every service, and handwashing between clients is mandatory.
