Best Barber is hiring an experienced professional barber for our Manhattan shop. We are a queer-owned, gender-neutral barbershop designed for all people, located on 10th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen, and we have proudly served our community for over a decade.

We are looking for enthusiastic, talented professionals eager to join an outstanding team. Prime weekend shifts are available in a high-demand shop with a clean, LGBTQ+-friendly, supportive environment. We offer a $20/hour guaranteed minimum wage, tiered compensation, professional development, and real opportunities for growth.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Perform haircuts, fades, scissor cuts, beard trims, and hot towel shaves

  • Consult with clients and recommend styles and maintenance schedules

  • Keep your station, tools, and workspace sanitized to New York State standards

  • Build and retain your own book of repeat clients

‍ ‍

WE ARE LOOKING FOR‍ ‍

  • Current New York State barber or cosmetologist license (required)

  • Minimum 3 years of in-shop experience behind the chair

  • A practiced, consistent method you can execute every time

  • Absolute professionalism paired with relaxed, positive energy

  • Weekend availability

  • A genuine desire to excel

  • Existing clientele is a plus, not a requirement
